What will it mean to be part of a family in a more connected tomorrow?
Today we understand the concept of family as being people who share the same DNA. This project explores the idea that a family can be more. Transcending time to enhance human engagement. Covale looks at how human energy connects us all to create a new form of family. Being part of a family means having a network of people around you that allow you to be you and grow. Answering our basic needs for wanting to belong and be loved.
Insight
Love is crucial to the structure of a family. Without the value of love in a family, there is no space for growth. Love is created through time and experience. This means that we experience time through lived experiences. It is only through spending time and creating experiences that we can create love.
As social beings, we communicate through time and space. Communication is what keeps us connected. The problem is that we currently communicate through time and two spaces (physical & digital). This disrupted our understanding of love. When we behave in one space we lose the aspect of time in the other.
Idea
The objective with Covale is to be a new form of a social platform that will ultimately bridge physical and digital spaces together. Transcending time to enhance human engagement. Creating the one ultimate platform that will take you on a journey to discover the people that make you who you are.
Our goal is to allow people to retake ownership of their social interactions with a self-organizing platform that changes as you change. Our ambition is to make social truly social again by allowing you to create and discover your dynamic groups to create authentic experiences. Allowing you to be you while you discover your kindred family.
Impact
Created under the Facebook Company and working together with the rest of the Facebook ecosystem keeps us all connected. While leveraging upcoming digital trends such as Crypto-DNA, Augmented Reality, Geo Mapping AI. These trends will help us overlay a digital layer on top of the physical world. Essentially changing the way we interact with interfaces as the world now transforms itself into the ultimate interface.
