Insight
Young artists and designers, especially students, don’t have a studio or physical place to sell and showcase their work. Online stores like Etsy are overwhelmed with tremendous amounts of work from all kinds of people. It is hard to stand out and compete with other artists and designers on the platform. Also, online stores don’t give artists the opportunity to have in-depth communication with potential supporters and customers.
Idea
The idea of my design is to help designers and artists to set up a convenient mobile store in order to help them showcase and sell their work anywhere they want. It can also potentially help them get in direct communication with supporters and customers to better present the process and craftsmanship of their work. Phonecase Store provides the opportunity for potential customers to get connected with their local artists and designers who possibly live in nearby neighbourhoods. Artists and designers are living advertisements for themselves when they are working in public spaces, and their portable caseback mobile store could act as their personal gallery and store.
Impact
We gather people together. We help and witness young creatives grow. We bring art and talent into people’s daily lives. As our community grows, we bring a creative touch into our society.
