TOUCHSTONES

How might we reduce passivity and isolation in long term care environments through meaningful social interactions?

Designed for residents in long term care, TouchStones is a personal device and application that prompts daily social engagement and reminiscence. Loneliness, depression and social isolation are critical concerns in long-term care, especially to individuals with Alzheimer's disease and their loved ones. TouchStones provides maintained and accessible social interaction for individuals with declining cognitive and motor functions while offering families points of meaningful connection.
