How do we enable people to find purpose? 

Mindfulness, achieved through reflection and communication. 


Stay balanced with The Mindfulness App on WatchOS. Achieve mindfulness through reflection from breathing, tune into the world around you by vocalizing, and communicate effectively through pronunciation. Beyond guiding, there is little to no interactivity with mindfulness apps. This serves as a great launching point to use available inputs on wearables for mindfulness exercises to push Apple's mindfulness experience forward. Chanting and vocalization are ancient practices that have helped many. Not only do vocal exercises prepare us for communicating, but they also create a sense of confidence.

The objective is to enhance, expand and redefine people's lives through mindfulness by seamlessly integrating software, hardware, and services.         

 


 

Insight

For thousands of years, Gurus and Yogis have been guiding people through mindfulness practices. In recent years, the market for self-improvement products has grown substantially. The most popular of self-improvement apps are mindfulness apps, but beyond guiding, there is little to no interactivity with mindfulness apps. This serves as a great launching point to use available inputs on wearables for mindfulness exercises to push Apple's mindfulness experience forward. Vocal tuning and pronunciation were chosen as the two new areas for Apple’s Mindfulness experience through research and a study conducted with eight individuals. 

Idea

The insights gained were answered by developing a new mindfulness experience app for people looking to find balance. The two unique experiences in the mindfulness app, tune and communicate, pick up where the Breathe app left off. Using beautiful, simple visuals and haptic cues to guide people to bring attention to their breath, tune their voice with the frequencies of the 7 chakras, and communicate effectively through the pronunciation of last consonants.            

Impact

Chanting and vocalization are ancient practices that have helped many. Not only do vocal exercises prepare us for communicating, but they also create a sense of confidence. Mindfulness experiences on the AppleWatch are powerful tools that will enhance people's lives by giving them the confidence to communicate effectively, to overcome challenges, and make the most of opportunities. When people can effectively communicate, they can understand one another more clearly, resolve small or big conflicts, and compromise. Reflection can help people see a way forward rather than left or right. Mindful individuals collectively move us forward, closer to a mindful society where together we can overcome anything.  

 


 

 


 

 


 

Biography

Farzad believes we have lost connection with our self-described idea of self and that the pressures and demands of modern life have left us alone, not fully calibrated to our spiritual and physical bodies. Through mindful and humanity-centred design, he seeks to balance the world around him.
