CleanSlate UV Phone Sanitizing Kiosk
How might a hospital-grade piece of equipment become a public-facing amenity?
I proposed a design for a public-facing mobile phone sanitizer concept in partnership with Toronto-based medical tech startup CleanSlate UV. Their technology uses UV light to sanitize electronic devices in 20 seconds, and is in use in hospitals as an infection control measure to protect patients from hospital-acquired infections. My project focused on adapting this existing technology for use in public contexts by investigating end users' perceptions and a new set of market requirements.
