Wedge

How can design influence our relationship to consumption and waste?

Wedge is a collection of food storage units for urban environmentalism. It is designed to reduce food and packaging waste by increasing visibility, accessibility, and organization of contents. The system is integrated with containers and reusable bags which support a transition from foods in throwaway packaging. Wedge is, lastly, an experimental tool of habit creation: user interactions are made as simple as possible, to encourage routine care and appreciation for food at home.
